Yesterday I posted a short entry about a new design patent that CalTech received for the descent stage used for the Mars Rover. I’ve always been a bit of a space geek. I especially enjoy the photographs that the Mars Rover has been returning during its visit on Mars.
So one of my favorite daily routines is to visit the NASA’s Astronomy Picture of the Day webpage. Every day they present a new photograph along with a brief explanation of the photograph written by a professional astronomer. It’s not only a chance to check out a nice photo, but I usually learn something too.
By the way, if you happen to be a photographer, astronomer, or just have a good picture for NASA, they take submissions.
